Dr. Clement K. Chan Invited to Speak at Prestigious Pacific Retina Club and International Retinal Imaging Society Symposium

Desert Retina Consultants is proud to announce that Dr. Clement K. Chan, M.D., FACS, a fellowship-trained retina specialist and Clinical Professor-Clinician Scientist, has been invited to serve on the distinguished faculty for the upcoming 11th Annual Pacific Retina Club (PRC) Meeting and 12th Annual International Retinal Imaging Society Symposium. The event will take place June 5-7, 2025, at the Luskin Hotel within the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA.

The Pacific Retina Club, in collaboration with leading experts from Jules Stein/UCLA and UCSF, is a premier gathering of retina specialists from across the United States. This annual meeting fosters the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and research in the evaluation and management of both common and rare retinal diseases. This year’s combined event will feature a comprehensive retina update program, covering topics such as vitreoretinal surgery, tumors, imaging, artificial intelligence, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), clinical trials, diabetes, retinal vascular diseases, uveitis, pediatric retina, and inherited retinal diseases.

Dr. Chan will contribute to the Diabetes and Clinical Trials session with his presentation titled: “Impact of Early Intraretinal Fluid Reduction on Outcomes in Diabetic Macular Edema.” His expertise in diabetic retinal diseases and clinical research is widely recognized, making him a valued voice at this prestigious event. His discussion will explore into how early intervention and fluid reduction strategies influence visual outcomes in patients with diabetic macular edema (DME), a leading cause of vision loss in diabetic individuals.

Dr. Chan’s invitation to speak at the Pacific Retina Club and International Retinal Imaging Society Symposium is a testament to his decades of dedication to advancing retina care, research, and innovation.
