Dr. Steven Lin is a fellowship-trained, retina specialist who has dedicated more than 20 years to providing exceptional retina care to his patients. Dr. Lin joined Desert Retina Consultants in 1998 and is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment for retina conditions of all types including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal tears and detachments, retinal occlusions, and more.
He earned his medical degree and completed his ophthalmology residency at SUNY Downstate in New York. He completed his fellowship training at Tulane University in New Orleans, where he also taught ophthalmology residents. Today, Dr. Lin is an assistant clinical professor at Loma Linda University Medical Center. Dr. Lin was recently named a “Top Doctor 2025” by Palm Springs Life Magazine for his excellence in retina care in the Coachella Valley.
When he’s not providing care to his patients, Dr. Lin is an avid sports enthusiast. He loves playing sports and is happy when spending time or traveling with family and friends.
